'Two of us' van Louis Tomlinson gaat over zijn overleden moeder | Lied
Het lied ‘Two of us’ van Louis Tomlinson, ex-bandlid van One Direction, is een persoonlijke ode aan zijn moeder die in 2016 overlijdt aan leukemie. “Ik leunde voor veel dingen op mijn moeder – wanneer ik advies nodig had, was zij de eerste die ik belde.”
Troost en hoop
Tomlinson hoopt dat anderen die met verlies te maken hebben, troost halen uit het lied. “Ik wil niet dat mensen verstrikt raken in het verdriet, het nummer moet hoopvol zijn. Als ‘Two of us’ ook maar één iemand helpt die door dezelfde moeilijke tijd gaat, dan zou dat me al heel blij maken,” zegt hij in een interview met People.
